1 sheet puff pastry 4 slices cheddar cheese 8 slices bacon 1 small red onion thinly sliced 6 slices mozzarella cheese 2 tbsp chili sauce A few fresh basil leaves 1 egg beaten (for brushing) 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
Arrange cheddar slices down the center of the pastry.
Layer bacon strips evenly over the cheese.
Add red onion slices, then top with mozzarella.
Drizzle chili sauce over the filling and add fresh basil leaves.
Cut slits along both sides of the pastry and fold them over the filling, alternating sides to create a braid-like shape.
Brush the top with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds.
Bake for 35 minutes , or until golden brown and puffed up.
Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving warm.
