Ingredients
  

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 1 small red onion thinly sliced
  • 6 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp chili sauce
  • A few fresh basil leaves
  • 1 egg beaten (for brushing)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  • Arrange cheddar slices down the center of the pastry.
  • Layer bacon strips evenly over the cheese.
  • Add red onion slices, then top with mozzarella.
  • Drizzle chili sauce over the filling and add fresh basil leaves.
  • Cut slits along both sides of the pastry and fold them over the filling, alternating sides to create a braid-like shape.
  • Brush the top with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds.
  • Bake for 35 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving warm.
