Cheesy Garlic Confit Bread

This cheesy garlic confit bread is made with sweet roasted garlic, melty mozzarella, and a drizzle of chili honey for the perfect balance of comfort and flavor. Easy to make, impossible to resist!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 baguette halved lengthwise
  • 1 head garlic (10–12 cloves) peeled
  • 100 ml olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, 40g softened
  • 3 tbsp grated Parmesan, 30g
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella, 100g
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp parsley chopped (plus extra for garnish)
  • ½ tsp chili flakes
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp chili honey

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Place garlic cloves in an ovenproof dish, cover with olive oil, and roast for 30–35 minutes, until soft and golden.
  • Mash roasted garlic into a paste. Stir in butter, Parmesan, parsley, brown sugar, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.
  • Increase oven temperature to 200°C (400°F). Spread garlic butter on baguette halves, sprinkle with Parmesan, and top with mozzarella.
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden. Broil for 1–2 minutes for extra crispiness.
  • Drizzle with chili honey, garnish with parsley, slice, and serve warm.
