If you love toast that’s anything but boring, this Garlic Confit Halloumi Avocado Toast is for you! Creamy avocado, golden-fried halloumi, and sweet, melt-in-your-mouth garlic confit come together with a touch of honey and chili for a brunch that’s bursting with flavor.
Make the Garlic Confit: Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C). Place peeled garlic cloves in a small oven-safe saucepan and cover with olive oil. Bake for 2 hours until soft and tender. Let cool.
Toast the Bread: Heat a pan over medium heat with olive oil. Toast bread slices until golden and crispy on both sides. Set aside.
Fry the Halloumi: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry halloumi slices 2–3 minutes per side until golden. Add honey, lemon juice, chili flakes, and sesame seeds. Stir to coat and caramelize slightly. Remove from heat.
Assemble the Toast: Spread garlic confit on each slice of toast. Layer avocado slices on top and season with a pinch of salt. Place fried halloumi on top. Drizzle with chili oil if desired. Serve immediately.
