Ingredients
  

  • 2 slices of toast bread
  • 130 g mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced or pressed
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese (e.g., tomato cream cheese)
  • 40 g grated cheese
  • 3 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Chop the onion and mushrooms finely. Mince or press the garlic cloves.
  • Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).
  • Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped mushrooms, onion, and garlic to the pan. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Sauté the mixture until the mushrooms release their moisture and the mixture becomes golden brown.
  • Transfer the cooked mushroom mixture to a mixing bowl.
  • Add the grated cheese, cream cheese, and parsley. Stir well until everything is evenly combined.
  • Spread the mushroom-cheese mixture generously onto the slices of toast.
  • Place the prepared toasts on a baking sheet.
  • Bake the toasts in the preheated oven for 8–10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
