2 slices of toast bread 130 g mushrooms, finely chopped 2 tbsp olive oil 1 onion, finely chopped 2 garlic cloves, minced or pressed Salt and pepper, to taste 2 tbsp cream cheese (e.g., tomato cream cheese) 40 g grated cheese 3 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Chop the onion and mushrooms finely. Mince or press the garlic cloves.
Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).
Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add the chopped mushrooms, onion, and garlic to the pan. Season with salt and pepper.
Sauté the mixture until the mushrooms release their moisture and the mixture becomes golden brown.
Transfer the cooked mushroom mixture to a mixing bowl.
Add the grated cheese, cream cheese, and parsley. Stir well until everything is evenly combined.
Spread the mushroom-cheese mixture generously onto the slices of toast.
Place the prepared toasts on a baking sheet.
Bake the toasts in the preheated oven for 8–10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
